Looking at some of the recent developer blog posts courtesy of Activision, it seems that content is likely on the way for the game, given that it's been quite some time since Black Ops Cold War received any substantial updates aside from the basic patch notes.Įither way, we expect the number of players jumping into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to jump up as the game is in the hands of more players and updates come to the game. With the game coming to PS Plus, and more content likely on the way, we expect the player count to rise. Looking forward, we expect to see this number to jump again going from July 2023 as the game will be released on PS Plus this month (July) and will most assuredly bring more players back to the game. But we reckon this is because the game sees an influx of players as new updates and content additions are added. This is a significant decline from May previously, which boasted an average of 1,473 players with a peak of 3,298 players. The current player count for the game is substantially lower than in previous months, but we expect that to change. As it currently stands the game sports an average of 960 players, with a peak of 2,234 players throughout June 2023.
